Client Services Manager

 Full time|£35,000 |Cheshire 

An established financial planning firm is seeking a Client Services Manager.

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the client service function, nurturing existing client relationships and helping create opportunities to develop new professional connections. This role requires strong organisational ability, proactive workflow management, and a commitment to delivering a first class client service.


Key Responsibilities

  • Liaising directly with clients to maintain high service standards
  • Communicating with insurance companies, platform providers, and professional connections
  • Maintaining accurate records and audit trails within internal IT systems
  • Arranging client meetings and handling front of house duties
  • Managing the regular client review process, monitoring due dates, and preparing all required documentation
  • Producing client valuations
  • Preparing invoices, monitoring fee agreements, and chasing outstanding payments
  • Processing new business, fund switches, rebalancing, withdrawals, and portfolio transactions
  • Managing and settling client death claims
  • Completing all required post review actions accurately and promptly

Working Pattern

  • Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm
  • Every other Friday operates on an 8am–4pm schedule
  • Hybrid working available: 3 days office / 2 days from home

Skills, Knowledge & Experience

  • Strong client service ethos and a “can do” approach
  • Ability to deliver tasks on time and to a high standard
  • Commercial awareness to identify opportunities that support business objectives
  • Ability to manage workload independently while keeping management informed
  • Confident using financial planning platforms and systems, ideally with experience in:
    • Wrap/platform systems
    • Back office financial planning software
    • Risk profiling tools
    • Cashflow planning tools
